Looking for something magical to do in Baton Rouge this spring? Let this be your sign ✨ Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre is bringing the beloved fairytale Rapunzel – A Storybook Ballet back to the stage, and it’s the perfect outing for families, date nights, and anyone who loves a little whimsy with their weekend plans.

Under the direction of co-artistic directors Rebecca Acosta and Jonna Cox, this enchanting production transforms the classic story into a full-scale ballet complete with an enchanted forest, mischievous fairies, an evil witch, and, of course, Rapunzel and her prince. It’s a true storybook experience—told through beautiful choreography, stunning costumes, and impressive performances by professional dancers alongside pre-professional artists.

Performances will take place at the River Center Theatre for Performing Arts:

  • Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m.

Whether you’re introducing little ones to ballet for the first time or just want a cultured night out downtown, Rapunzel is designed to delight audiences of all ages. Tickets start at $40 and can be purchased online at batonrougeballet.org or by phone at (225) 766-8379.

If your spring calendar needs a little magic, this is one Baton Rouge event you won’t want to miss.
