Even if you’re not walking into Celtic Studios tonight, you can still be part of one of Baton Rouge’s most fun and meaningful events.

Furball is happening this evening, bringing together a packed room of dressed-up guests, a runway full of dogs, and a whole lot of energy around one incredible cause. While tickets for the black-tie gala were scooped up in advance, the impact of tonight’s event goes far beyond the room, and there’s still time to be part of it.

Furball supports Companion Animal Alliance, the nonprofit open-intake shelter that cares for more than 9,000 animals each year in East Baton Rouge Parish. From helping lost pets find their way home to connecting animals with forever families and expanding access to spay and neuter resources, their work is constant and critical.

And tonight is all about fueling that mission.

Leading up to the event, a royal court of dog and owner duos have been raising money in their pet’s name, rallying support from friends, family, and the community. Tonight, they’ll take the stage and “strut their mutt” on the catwalk, competing for titles like King and Queen, but the real win is the funds they’ve raised to support animals in need.

Here’s where you come in.

Even if you’re not attending, you can still donate and vote for your favorite duo through the “Rock the Vote” platform. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it directly supports the life saving work happening every day at Companion Animal Alliance. Plus, it adds a little friendly competition to the mix as the final votes roll in before winners are crowned.

Think of it as your chance to join the party from wherever you are.

Furball has raised more than $2.5 million since it began in 2013, helping CAA continue its mission during some of the busiest times of the year—spring and summer, when shelters see a surge in animals needing care.

So while the guests inside Celtic Studios are raising a glass and cheering on the runway tonight, the rest of Baton Rouge still has a role to play.

Pick your favorite pup. Cast your vote. Make a donation.

Because a night centered around dogs, community, and a little bit of fun competition is great—but what it supports is even better.
