Spanish Town, you've got a new neighbor — and they're making their arrival known.
Rougaroux Capitol Bodega is officially opening its doors Friday, Sept. 4, and they're kicking things off with a grand opening party from 5–8 p.m. at 701 Spanish Town Road.
And yes, you're invited.
We're talking food, music, bingo, trivia, giveaways, prizes and plenty of reasons to make a Friday night out of it.Even better? The entire event is free, family friendly and open to everyone.
From Pop-Up to Permanent
If Rougaroux sounds familiar, there's a reason.
The concept got its start as a pop-up, serving up its own take on Cajun and Mexican fusion and building a following along the way. Now, Rougaroux is making things official with its very first permanent location right in the heart of Spanish Town.
It's the kind of only-in-Louisiana combination we can get behind: bold Cajun influences meeting Mexican-inspired flavors, all coming together under one roof.
And after making the rounds as a pop-up, having a permanent home means there's finally a place to stop in whenever the Rougaroux craving hits.
Come Hungry, Stay for the Fun
This isn't a quick ribbon cutting and everyone goes home.
Rougaroux is turning its grand opening into a full Friday evening hangout.
Grab something to eat, challenge your friends to trivia, try your luck at bingo, listen to some music and stick around because they'll be handing out giveaways and prizes throughout the night.
Bring the kids. Bring your friends. Bring the person who's always asking where y'all should go Friday night.
Most importantly, come hungry.
