It’s official and it’s one of the most anticipated weeks of the summer. Restaurant Week is set for July 20 through July 25, and the countdown starts now.

Every year, this week gives diners across the Capital Region a reason to get out, make reservations, and experience the restaurants that make our food scene what it is. From longtime favorites to newer spots making waves, Restaurant Week has consistently brought together a lineup that reflects the depth and creativity of Baton Rouge dining.

Past participants like Elsie's Plate & Pie, Acme Oyster House, Doe's Eat Place, Rocca Pizzeria, Soji Modern Asian, Modesto Tacos Tequila Whiskey, and Bullfish Bistro have helped shape the energy of the week, offering curated menus, special pricing, and dishes that keep people talking long after the last reservation is served.

There’s a reason this week lands right in the middle of summer. Historically, this time of year can slow down for restaurants. Families are traveling, routines are off, and people are constantly on the go. Restaurant Week steps in as a reminder to come back to the table. It’s designed to drive business into local restaurants during a stretch when they need that support the most.

But beyond the timing, the purpose runs deeper. This week is about showing up for the people behind the scenes. The chefs, the servers, the dishwashers, the owners who pour everything into creating spaces where we gather, celebrate, and connect. It’s about encouraging diners to explore somewhere new, revisit an old favorite, and be intentional about supporting local.

Year after year, Restaurant Week continues to grow because the community shows up for it. It’s a reflection of what Baton Rouge does best, coming together around great food and even better company.

So start making your list, call your friends, and plan ahead. July 20 through July 25 is your chance to eat well and give back to the local restaurant community that keeps this city moving.
