Baton Rouge, if you love a dinner that feels like an experience and not just a meal, this is one you do not want to miss.

Chef Rosh Gurnani is back in the city for a second time this year, teaming up again with Chef Albina for a one night only pop up dinner at Jabby's Pizza on Highland. If you missed their last collaboration in January, this is your chance to make it right because that one completely sold out.

We were there for the last dinner and can confidently say this is not just hype. It is one of those nights where every course feels intentional, every flavor tells a story, and you leave already hoping they do it again.

This time, the chefs are bringing together Indian and Albanian influences in a way that feels both elevated and deeply personal. As Chef Rosh shared, “Chef Albina and I are bringing two cultures and two different flavor profiles to blend into one.” What makes it even more special is how similar their stories around food really are. “Although we are from different backgrounds our stories around food are so similar.”

That connection shows up in the way they approach every dish. There is a clear respect for ingredients in their most simple and pure form, letting each element shine the way it is meant to. Their family traditions and memories are woven throughout the menu, making the entire experience feel warm, thoughtful, and intentional.

The menu itself is a full journey. It starts with bold, street inspired flavors like Bombay style chaat and samosas, then moves into comforting dishes like mixed daal and butter chicken layered with rich spices. From there, you get a taste of Albanian influence with dishes like tenderloin kebabs and sarme, before ending on a cardamom saffron baklava that ties everything together beautifully.

What makes this dinner even more special is what happens after the meal. This time, guests are invited to stay for drinks with the chefs, creating a space to connect, ask questions, and really get to know the people behind the food. It is an intimate touch that takes the night to another level.

The dinner takes place Saturday, March 21st at 6:30 PM at Jabs Pizza on Highland. Tickets are $85 per person and it is BYOB, so bring your favorite bottle and settle in for the evening.

Chef Rosh said it best, “We were sold out in January, so if you missed it come on out.”

If you were there last time, you already know. If you were not, this is your moment.
