One of Baton Rouge's most unique dining experiences is officially joining Summer Restaurant Week.

Located on Airline Highway, Bullfish Bistro has built a loyal following by doing something few restaurants in the Capital Region can claim: blending authentic Caribbean flavors with Louisiana hospitality under one roof. From slow-braised oxtails and jerk-seasoned seafood to tropical cocktails and vibrant brunch offerings, every visit feels a little different from the typical Baton Rouge dining experience.

Restaurant Week has always been about encouraging diners to step outside their comfort zones and discover something new, and Bullfish Bistro is exactly the type of restaurant that makes the event special. While many guests may arrive familiar with Louisiana staples, they quickly discover dishes inspired by Jamaica, Haiti, The Bahamas, Trinidad, and other Caribbean culinary traditions, all thoughtfully blended with Southern influences.

The restaurant has become known for bold flavors and memorable signature dishes. Favorites such as seafood paella, slow-braised oxtails, jerk fish, lamb chops, and the restaurant's popular seafood creations showcase the kitchen's commitment to seasoning, fresh ingredients, and made-to-order preparation. Weekend brunch has also developed a strong following thanks to creative menu offerings and an extensive selection of bottomless mimosa flavors.

What makes Bullfish Bistro particularly exciting for Restaurant Week is the opportunity it gives diners to explore a style of cuisine that remains underrepresented in Baton Rouge. The restaurant has created a dining experience centered around culture, hospitality, and flavor, offering guests a chance to enjoy something that feels both familiar and completely new at the same time.

As Baton Rouge Summer Restaurant Week returns July 20 through July 25, Bullfish Bistro joins a growing list of restaurants helping showcase the diversity and creativity of the local dining scene. Whether you're already a fan of Caribbean cuisine or looking to try something different for the first time, this is one stop that deserves a place on your Restaurant Week itinerary.

Summer Restaurant Week runs July 20–25, 2026. Participating restaurants will feature special prix-fixe menus designed to highlight some of their most popular dishes while giving diners an opportunity to explore Baton Rouge's culinary landscape at an exceptional value.
