Everyone loves good appetizers. Well, at least I know I do. Appetizers get the meal started making everyone happy. Whether it is a shareable to enjoy with your family, or a salad to prep you for your main meal, the appetizer is sometimes the highlight of eating out.

LaContea Ristorante serves an array of Italian dishes for lunch and dinner. Pastas, soups, and salads galore, the restaurant has something for everyone (even kids and vegetarians). While the pasta is something to get excited about, that is not what we are here for today. We’re here for the appetizers and sides!

Lobster Cheese Dip

Starting strong with Lobster Cheese Dip, LaContea crafted the perfect shareable for the table with blue mussels sautéed in a marinara and white wine sauce.

Cheese Bread

What is an Italian restaurant without serving some bread before the starter comes out? Make this bread even more spectacular by ordering the cheese bread (yes, it is an upcharge) and enjoying it with the rest of the table.

Fried Cheese

The Fried Cheese appetizer is a simple and tasty starter of fresh Mozzarella sliced, breaded, and dusted with parmesan cheese. With a side of marinara, this appetizer is the classic mozzarella stick that everyone at the table will enjoy (lactose-intolerant people, I am sorry!).

Caprese Salad

I don’t care how you say it (kuh-pray-zay), the Caprese Salad is the perfect pairing to any main dish on LaContea's menu.

Cheese of the World Board

So much cheese! It’s an Italian restaurant, what did you expect? The Cheese of the World Board has an array of cheeses from around the world paired with Italian salami, prosciutto, and olives. The starter also comes with roasted pepper sauce and crackers.

Burrata Arugula Salad with Prosciutto

If you didn’t get enough burrata from your appetizer, the Burrata Arugula Salad with prosciutto should do the job.

Bruschetta

Bruschetta. Coated in olive oil. Topped with tomatoes, red onions, basil, and feta cheese crumbles. Must I say more?

Tomato Basil Soup

One of the most comforting meals of all time can be added as a side at LaContea. Their Tomato Basil Soup is an oldie but a goodie.

Soups and salads can be added as a side at LaContea for $2.99. Proteins like chicken, salmon, and more can also be added to the salads. If you are looking for more than just their appetizers and salads, check out their website here for the full menu.
