Fall is getting closer, and one of Baton Rouge’s favorite seasonal traditions is almost here. The countdown to Corn Maze season at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden is officially on.

The corn is growing, pumpkins are almost ready, and preparations are underway for another October filled with maze adventures, hayrides, pumpkin patch visits, family photos, and plenty of reasons to spend a fall day outside.

Whether Corn Maze at Burden is already an annual tradition for your family or you’re thinking about visiting for the first time, now is the time to start making those October plans.

Corn Maze Weekends Return in October

This year, families will have several opportunities to experience Corn Maze at Burden, with event dates scheduled throughout October.

Corn Maze Weekends will take place October 3, 4, 10, 17, 24, 30, and 31.

Multiple sessions are offered throughout the day, making it easier to plan your visit around the rest of your weekend.

Morning Session: 9–11 a.m.
Midday Session: 12–2 p.m.
Afternoon Session: 2:30–4:30 p.m.

Tickets are limited for each session, so families who already know which weekend they want to visit may want to go ahead and secure their spot.

There’s Much More Than a Corn Maze

The maze may be the main attraction, but there’s plenty more to explore once you arrive.

Corn Maze Weekends are packed with activities designed for families to spend a few hours enjoying the outdoors and celebrating the season together.

Guests can expect the Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, Petting Farm, Jump Pad, Corn Crib, Spook-tacular Playground, Temporary Tattoo Parlor, Hayride, Hay Mountain, and a picnic area with local snack vendors.

Visitors may also get the chance to explore the sunflower fields, depending on weather conditions.

And, of course, there are plenty of opportunities for those classic fall photos. Between the pumpkins, corn, sunflowers, and outdoor setting, you may want to make sure your camera roll has some extra space before heading out.

Take on the Maze After Dark

For anyone looking for a different Corn Maze experience, there’s also Night Maze.

Night Maze will take place October 30 from 6–9 p.m., giving visitors the chance to explore the maze after the sun goes down.

Admission for Night Maze is $20 per person, while children ages 2 and younger are admitted free.

It’s a fun option for older kids, groups of friends, or anyone who wants to add a little nighttime adventure to their Halloween weekend plans.

What Do Tickets Cost?

Regular Corn Maze Weekend admission is:

$17.50 for general admission, ages 13 and older
$15 for youth ages 3–12
Free for children ages 2 and younger

While children 2 and younger are free, all ages must have a ticket to enter.

One important thing to know before you pack up the family and head to Burden: tickets are pre-sale only.

Tickets will not be sold at the gate, and availability is limited. If you have a specific October date or session in mind, purchasing ahead of time is the best way to make sure your family can attend.

Members of the Friends of LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens with a Family/Dual membership or above can also receive four discounted Corn Maze tickets.
