Farm Fête is almost here, but you don’t have to wait until the big event to get in on the fun.

BREADA is kicking off the celebration at the Red Stick Farmers Market on Saturday, September 19, from 8 a.m. to noon at 5th & Main Streets, and this weekend comes with a pretty exciting perk: Farm Fête’s silent auction officially goes live.

Market shoppers will be among the first to browse and bid on a lineup of local experiences, dining packages, getaways, one-of-a-kind items and more.

Here’s What You Can Bid On

Bidding opens Saturday morning and continues through the evening of Farm Fête on Thursday, September 24. Even better? You don’t have to attend Farm Fête to participate or win.

This year’s auction includes experiences and prizes like:

• A VIP tour for six at Abita Brewing in Covington
• A signed Alvin Kamara jersey
• Private dining experiences at local restaurants
• Unique staycations
• A Mexican-inspired brunch for eight prepared in your home
• A kids’ cooking class in the new Main Street Market Teaching Kitchen

Once bidding opens, you can keep up with your favorites and continue bidding right from your phone through September 24.

The auction isn’t the only reason to head downtown Saturday.

Red Stick Farmers Market will have a full morning planned with live music from King Solomon, a pop-up bar from Cocha and a special cooking demonstration from Farm Fête chef Celeste Gill.

You Could Win Date Night for a Year

Yes, you read that correctly.

BREADA is also bringing back its popular “Date Night for a Year” raffle, with one winner receiving a year’s worth of dining experiences at some of Baton Rouge’s favorite restaurants.

Tickets are $20, and the total prize is valued at $2,000.

Raffle tickets will be available through midnight on September 24, and you do not have to attend Farm Fête to win.

Farm Fête brings together local farmers, chefs, restaurants, musicians and members of the Baton Rouge community for BREADA’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
