Baton Rouge has a new spot for anyone who can't walk past a claw machine without trying their luck. Gotcha Claw Machine Arcade is open on Siegen Lane, joining the brand's original Lafayette arcade on Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

The idea behind Gotcha

Gotcha was founded in 2025 and models itself on Japanese arcade culture. Instead of rows of ticket games, the focus is claw machines stocked with plushies, mystery boxes and collectible figures. The company says everything in the store can be redeemed or traded for prizes, and that the prize lineup is updated constantly, so a repeat visit doesn't mean staring at the same toys.

Gotcha's pitch is that the games are built around skill and focus rather than pure luck, and that the arcade is meant for kids, teens and adults alike.

Birthday and group parties

Gotcha offers group packages that include unlimited play time and a set number of tokens:

$300 package: 500 tokens, plus three 8-inch plushies, five keychains and two blind boxes

$500 package: 920 tokens, plus five 8-inch plushies, one 12-inch plushie, five keychains, three blind boxes and a Gotcha cup

$800 package: 1,500 tokens, plus 10 8-inch plushies, two 12-inch plushies, one 30-inch plushie, 10 keychains, five blind boxes, two Gotcha cups and a free annual membership

Packages must be booked at least 24 hours ahead with a $50 nonrefundable deposit. Tables are available for birthday parties on request, and guests can bring cake, light snacks and decorations. The arcade stays open to the public during group packages, and party gifts and memberships must be redeemed on the day of the package.
